It's fun to try to make more from less. These are a couple demo paintings from my composition and painting classes at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena on Mondays. The exercise is to use only burnt umber and ultramarine blue (and of course white) and paying careful attention to value and temperature, make a painting of the model from life.
