I didn't feel like going out to paint any landscape today but I wanted to paint something. Here's another painting inspired by the same stack of old Playboy magazines that my friend down the street found. This time I painted one of the ads rather than the nudes. I think I'm sub-consciously giving the "western art" genre the finger with this one. Repainting it made it fun for me, I used it as an excuse to throw some paint around, and that's what it's all about anyway! I think it needs a little more work but I'm happy with it so far. oil on canvas, 48 by 36
