Planets over Bushwick...

April 7th, 2012 - Venus blazes like a lighthouse at dusk over Bushwick, as seen from all parts of Earth. Venus and Jupiter – the sky’s two most brilliant planets – will still be the first “stars” to pop out at evening dusk, with Venus being the higher planet and Jupiter the lower. Venus will remain in good view all through April, though Jupiter will descend closer to the glare of sunset, to disappear from view by late April or early May. Jupiter will leave the evening sky altogether on May 13. Then Venus will leave the evening sky on June 5-6, 2012, to swing directly in front of the sun and to stage the last transit of Venus in the 21st century.
